I bought Scott's Starter ferlizer at your store about 3 years ago and I still have one bag left, (opened). Is it still good or does it lose effectiveness over time?

Stored fertilizers do lose potentcy after a few years, but it should still be good (just not as strong). The best way to dispose of fertilizers is to use them up according to label directions. I'd go ahead and use it up.

Best wishes with your garden!
