WE HAVE A 100 FOOT BANK, 5 FEET HIGH, THAT RECIEVES SUN AND SHADE THROUGHOUT THE DAY. WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD LOW SHRUB THAT WOULD BE GOOD GROUND COVER THAT COULD GIVE YEAR ROUND COVER AND IS LOW MAINTENENCE. THE PLANT WOULD HAVE TO BE HEARTY. WE LIVE IN CONNECTICUT IN ZONE 6. HOW MANY SHRUBS DO YOU THINK WE WOULD NEED FOR THE PROJECT. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

I'd use a hardy, adaptable groundcover such as Wintercreeper Euonymus. There are other choices; visit the garden center of your local Home Depot for additional ideas. The number of plants will be determined by your final choice and what their mature spread might be.

Best wishes with your garden!
