I have a 70 ft. or so Holly tree. A couple of years ago it lost all it leaves and came back strong again. It has happened again, and I am wondering why! There are new leaf on new stems, and the branches are still alive. What can be doing this, is it because it is so old???? What can I do??? Or what should I be looking for????

I think your holly is about as old as practical for a holly bush. 70' is quite magnificent! I suspect that it is declining and will die within a few years. I don't think there's much you can do except enjoy it while it is still alive.

Wish I had something more positive to say!
