My back yard was full of weeds so I put down weed killer that also killed the grass. My yard gets full sun. What can I do to grow grass at this time of year?

It will be difficult to get grass seed to germinate in the heat so you may want to simply water your lawn to help it green up for the summer, then renovate the area in the fall by rototilling and then raking out all the old grass and roots. Level the area, broadcast grass seed and keep it watered and your new grass should sprout in 7-10 days. The roots should establish before winter sets in.

Best wishes with your landscape!
