The Q&A Archives: catapillars

Question: have an influx of white fuzzy catapillars that are eating everything and have even tried spraying malathon or however you spell it directly on them and they just keep on going, any suggestions,

Answer: Jo Anne,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

I would suggest you try sprays of B.t. (Dipel, Thuricide, Ortho Bio Worm Killer, etc.) on the foliage of the plants they are eating. It is effective and very low toxicity to people and pets.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
