Omaira,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Hostas cannot take the warm winters and hot, humid and very long summer of the south very well. A few folks have been able to get some varieties to grow in moist, compost rich soil in a very bright shade location but mostly farther north than your location.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
