My corn is only 3 feet talk and already has a corn cob on it ... why is my corn so short? please help

Corn is usually about 5 to 7 feet tall in the home garden. The height could be related to the variety you planted or it could be due to moisture stress if the soil is very dry, or lack of nitrogen (corn is a very heavy feeder). You may find the following information about growing corn helpful.
