We have a 50 ft wide and 35ft long garden, but another 10ft of length is lost to a very steep slope which is currently just mulched and housing weeds galore!! Any suggestions..?

I think I would remove the mulch, pull and dig the weeds, then place a weed barrier over the bare soil and replace the mulch. From there you can choose some groundhugging plants, brush away the mulch, cut holes in the weed barrier to plant your new plants, then replace the mulch. This will help you reclaim the garden. I'd use ajuga or vinca minor or even kinnickinick as groundcover plants.

Best wishes with your garden!
