I'd recommend boxwood, or Thuja 'pyramidalis', an upright, narrow evergreen. If you have 4-6 hours of sun, consider planting Juniperus chinensis x ?Hetzii Columnaris? (Hetz Green Columnar Juniper), a medium growing columnar evergreen. Each of these plants can be pruned to maintain the height you want. Hope one of these suggestions appeals to you.
