| I am trying to do organic vegtable gardening. I went to organic gardening.com and they recommended going to Home Depot to puchase Lady Bugs. However all the home depot stores in the Tulsa Ok areas do not carry them. Is it possible to order them on line? |
| While ladybugs are beneficial in the garden, you'd be better off attracting them to your garden by having lots of different kinds of flowers in bloom spring, summer and fall. While you can purchase ladybugs via mail order or sometimes find them in nurseries, they probably won't stay in your garden for very long. This is because ladybugs naturally disperse when they wake up from their winter's nap. The insects you purchase have been kept under cool conditions to extend their hibernation period. Once they are released into the warm air and sunshine, they will fly away. If you still want to purchase ladybugs, check online or at your local nurseries. You may find some for sale.
