I need 2 kinds of shrubs:
(1) low, ground cover evergreens that like sun, and
(2) medium size and taller [up to 4 ft.] evergreen shrubs that can tolerate shade.
Our soil tends to be farily high in clay.

Evergreen ground cover choices include Ajuga, Vinca minor, Wooly Thyme, and Pachysandra. All tolerate full sun and are low growing. For evergreen shrubs, consider Thuja occidentalis (Eastern Arborvitae) cultivars ?Hetz Midget?, ?Holmstrup?
or ?Little Giant? all remain 4' and below; or Taxus x media ?Densiformis? (Anglojap Yew).

Best wishes with your landscape.
