The Q&A Archives: Growing Hypoestes in a Terrarium

Question: I am trying to grow Hypoestes in a terrarium. The leaves are becoming limp, brown and shriveled on the edges and are dropping quickly. Is this merely transplant shock, or should I remove it from the terrarium? Evan Wood Toronto, Ontario (Canada)

Answer: It would appear that Hypoestes is not liking the high levels of humidity and its roots might be drowning in the levels of moisture. I would remove it from the terrarium..
