Queen palms should be watered deeply once or twice each week (depending upon weather). The best way to apply water is to make a watering well or water basin beneath each palm; fill the basin, allow to drain, then fill a second time. This will concentrate the moisture over the rootmass, allowing it to trickle down and wet the entire root area.

To feed, use a General Purpose Fertilizer (16-8-2) or a specially formulated palm fertilizer. Apply according to label directions for the palm fertilizer; or with a general purpose fertilizer apply: Second Half of February, Second Half of May, & Mid-September.
Rate: Trees less than 6' tall = 1/2 to 2 cups per tree per treatment.
Trees 6' - 10' tall = 2 to 4 cups per tree per treatment.
Trees 10' - 15' tall = 4 to 6 cups per tree per treatment.
Trees taller than 15' = 10 cups per tree per treatment.
Apply a slow & thorough deep watering to area of treatment immediately after application.
