The Q&A Archives: cilantro herb

Question: I planted in april and it has been going to seed . I have trimmed the flowers off trying to get it to bush again. What do I do

Answer: Pat,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Cilantro is a biennial in that it grows from fall to spring and then goes to seed. I suggest you start new plants from seed in late summer for a fall, winter and spring crop.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
