I planted tomatoes from seed in an Earth Box on my deck in full sun. The plants (various types) are going to town with fruit popping up every day. But the tomoatoes do not seem to ripen and turn red. I have thinned a few fruit and flowers and the remaining fruit still seem to stay green and get bigger and bigger. Any suggestions?

Kurt,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

It takes time for some varieties to ripen, especially some of the larger fruited varieties. I would give them more time. As long as the plants look good and are productive those tomatoes will eventually turn red.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
