I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

The best time to plant a crape is in fall, winter or early spring. You can still plant one now but you have to take extra care not to let the roots dry out nor keep them too soggy wet by overwatering.
