I recently spread weed and feed in my grass and think I may have over done it. My grass is turning more and more brown as the days go by. It has had plenty of water, I watered the grass for about an hour after application and then it rained the second day it was down for about 3 hours. How can I nurse my grass back to health and can I save it?

Tiffany,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

When grass is damaged by a weed killer product there is not much you can do to help it recover except give it normal care and wait to see how severe the damage is going to be. Time will tell if the grass is going to be able to make it or not. Broadleaf weed killers can damage some turfgrasses especially when temperatures are 85 degrees or above.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
