What are the tallest growing citrus trees? What can I do to prevent the leaves from yellowing in the hot desert summer months, 100 degrees plus in June, July, August, I feed them with Miracle grow and fertilizer. |
Standard size orange trees grow 22-30' tall and wide and are by far the largest of the citrus trees. You cannot prevent sunscald on the citrus leaves; the tree will drop these damaged leaves and grow new ones later in the year. It is just part of growing citrus in the desert. The trees can cope (although we think it looks unattractive). Just continue to give your tree good care and it will produce healthy new leaves later this summer. Best wishes with your trees! |
