Water your dogwood once a week, thoroughly soaking the soil so the moisture can trickle down and wet the entire root mass. I build a basin or water well beneath my new trees and shrubs to make watering easier. Once a week fill the basin, allow it to drain, then fill it a second time. This concentrates the moisture directly over the rootmass and allows it to penetrate deeply, encouraging a deep root system.

Dogwoods bloom just once a year, in the spring. The show is over for this year but you can look forward to their lovely flower display next year.

Enjoy!
