I was wondering if you can tell me which perennials would do good in an area that's next to a vinyl sided wall. I get mostly shade there except for about 3 hours of afternoon sun (if that). I just planted some impatiens and begonias but what else would do good there?

There are a number of perennials that grow well in the shade. Consider planting Astilbe, Dicentra, Epimedium, Hellebore, Lamium, Pulmonaria, Tiarella and Tricyrtis. You might also want to include ferns, and hostas with patterned foliage to add textural interest. Enjoy your shade garden!
