MY DAUGHTER SENT ME DANCING LADY ORCHIDS IN BLOOM GOT BEATIFUL YELLOW FLOWERS. MY HUSBAND PLACED IT UNDER A TREE WHICH GOT AFTERNOON SUN & WATER IT TWICE A WEEK. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO CARE FOR IT? |
Oncidium (dancing-lady orchid) likes bright light (no direct sunshine) and moist soil so water as often as necessary to keep the soil from drying out. When the flowers are spent, cut the flowering stalk down. Your orchid will bloom again after it develops a new flower stalk. You can feed your orchid every 2-3 weeks with a quarter strength dilution of a water soluable fertilizer such as Miracle Gro, Peter's or Shultz's. Good luck with your beautiful orchid! |
