Bermuda grass does well in the high desert. It is a warm season grass so will be green from April through October but then die down when weather cools. You can overseed the Bermuda with a cool season grass such a ryegrass, which will green up at just about the time the Bermuda goes dormant. This will give you a green lawn for 12 months a year.
