I recently bought a 3 quart gardenia radicans about 3 weeks ago in June. It is a shade shrub and I have it under a solid covered patio. It is blooming and seems very happy with daily waterings and weekly fertilizing with diluted all purpose 12-5-5. My questions--It is still in the original nursery quart pot. How long should I leave it in there for?

You can leave the plant in the nursery pot until it outgrows the space. You'll see roots trying to escape from the drainage holes when the roots have filled the container. When this happens, repot into the next sized pot. It can probably stay in the 3-quart pot for another year or two.
