| There are many, many ornamental cherry trees! Here are a few of my favorites: Prunus x 'Pisnshzam' Pink Snow Showers; A vigorous weeping form of Yoshino cherry. Top grafted weeping branches hang in graceful tresses. Blooms abundantly in early spring with dense, double blushing pink flowers. Polished mint green foliage colors nicely to burnt gold in Autumn. Adapts to wide range of soils; is heat, drought and disease resistant. A perfect focal point in any season. Deciduous. Full sun. Fast growth to 25 feet tall, 20 to 25 feet wide. Prunus 'Dream Catcher'; Large, single clear pink flowers cover branches in early spring on upright branching form. Dark green foliage emerges after flowers fade. Lush foliage grows bright orange-red to purple with fall color. A choice specimen tree for small yards front and back. Makes a fine group planting to intensify visibility on larger sites. Super street tree. Japanese garden harbinger of spring. Deciduous tree. Full sun. Moderate to fast growth 25 feet tall, 15 feet wide. Prunus x yedoensis 'Akebono'; Rounded form with spreading branches to this very beautiful tree. A perfect specimen for the lawn. Profusion of fragrant, semi-double, soft pink blooms in spring. Glossy dark green foliage becomes yellow in fall. Deciduous. Full sun. Vigorous grower to 25 feet tall and wide. Prunus x 'Snowfozam' Snow Fountains Weeping Cherry; A beautiful small yard tree, its gracefully cascading branches are covered with showy, snow-white flowers early in the season. Excellent in Japanese-style gardens. A hardy addition to the landscape. Deciduous. Full sun. Slow grower to 12 to 15 feet tall, 15 to 20 feet wide. Prunus x `Hally Jolivette`; Graceful, willowy stems bear double, blush-white blossoms in early spring. Can be trained as a large shrub, more likely found as a densely branched, round headed single trunked tree. Deciduous. Full to partial sun. Moderate-growing to 12 to 15 feet tall, 12 to 15 feet wide. Prunus serrulata `Mount Fuji`; Showy garden tree with profuse clusters of fragrant white flowers backed by bronzy new growth, followed by dark green summer foliage.
