| I notice that the home depot carries a dwarf banana tree. When I read the specifications, it said that the plant would grow to 10 feet tall. Later in this site, an article said that it would grow to 5 feet tall. I have a very sunny location in my house with a high ceiling that would accomodate a 10 feet banana tree. Which information is accurate? |
| The banana tree would require a greenhouse situation to overwinter in active growth and stay healthy, although you could experiment and see how it does for you. Without knowing which specific variety of banana it is, it is a little difficult to give you a specific size range. Musa basjoo, the "hardy" banana can grow to about ten feet tall when planted in the ground. Dwarf Cavendish, a popular dwarf banana variety, grows about seven feet tall.
