Something is breaking and eating my marigolds. This only seems to be happening late at night or early in the morning. I know it is not a rabbit because I do not have them where I live. I do have either moles or voles. Do they like to eat marigolds? My other flowers such as petunias do not get touched.

Moles would not damage the plants, and voles would eat the roots rather than damage the above ground growth. You might be seeing damage from slugs. They are nocturnal and leave a silvery trail behind. They can be handpicked at night and dropped into soapy water, or can be baited with products containing iron phosphate such as Sluggo. (Avoid the more generally toxic metaldehyde baits.) Or,you might have a problem with deer, if they are in your area.
