What would be eating the following plants and what can I do to guard against it? Coleus, Dahlia, & Hosta. Also, I get many blooms on the strawberry plants and strawberries begin to grow, but they never get to the 'picking' stage because they're always gone before that. What can I do to prevent this?

Based on your description, I am not certain what is eating your plants. It might be an animal such as deer (deer love hosta) or it might slugs. If it is an animal, you could try using the spray on or granular repellents labeled for the specific animal. If it is slugs, you can bait with a product containing iron phosphate such as Sluggo.

The strawberries may be eaten by animals or by birds. The best defense is usually to net the strawberry bed to protect the plants. I hope this helps!
