| You can successfully overseed the bare patches with a warm season grass (fescue or Kentucky bluegrass), as long as you rake the areas to remove old, dead grass and roots so the grass seed can make good contact with the soil. After broadcasting the seeds, cover with a thin layer of peat moss to help keep the seeds moist. Water (several times a day if necessary) to keep the newly seeded areas from drying out. Grass seed usually sprouts in 7-10 days if kept moist. Good luck with your project! |
