Hi! Just wanted to make sure before I do this...should I cut the dead flowers off a Hosta? If so, do I cut the entire stem at the base? Also, I had some salvia that had dead sprouts, with some fresh ones that branched off the

Yes, cut the entire flowering stem off your hosta, and cut it down to at least foliage level (to keep your hosta's looking neat and attractve). And, yes, removing only the dead flowers and dead flower stem parts was the right thing to do with your salvia. Enjoy your garden!
