I HAVE A BUSH THAT HAS AVERAGE SIZE GREEN LEAVES WITH YELLOW SPOTS. I WAS TOLD IT WAS SOME SORT OF JAPANESE PLANT. CAN YOU HELP ME?

I think you're referring to the Japanese Aucuba. If so, the plant is Aucuba japonica variegata 'Gold Dust'.
