The Q&A Archives: Pepper Names

Question: I recently planted two types of pepper seeds that I couldn't find listed in your latest catalog. They are Spanish Spice Hybrid and Santa Fe Grande. Are these hot peppers? If so then how hot are they. We love your company!

Answer: Santa Fe Grande is a very hot pepper. It grows about 3.5"x1.75", has thick flesh, yellow to orange red. I'm not familiar with Spanish Spice. There are several that you could be talking about, sometimes one pepper has a lot of aliases.
