| Sheryl, Esperanzas love lots of sun and well drained soil. They are not picky about getting fertilized a lot and really need very little feeding to keep them happy. The are quite pest and disease free too. After the first hard freeze cut the plants to the ground and mulch the base well to protect it in case you have an unusually cold winter.
