Fuchsia Plant - Knowledgebase Question

Why is it so hard to keep my fuchsia plant as pretty as when I purchased it? It is almost dead and gone. What do I need to do? please help thanks.

Fuchsias grow best in full shade, in rich, moist soils. They like humidity and cool temperatures. It could be that July in your garden is just too hot for fuchsias. You might want to purchase fuchsias in April and enjoy them until mid-summer, knowing you'll need to replace them when the weather gets hot. Wish I had better news for you!
