I have an area that I just removed cedar bushes, and want to make it into a perennial garden area. It is north facing and shaded by the house, so is protected from the wind. What type of plants could I plant in this area. |
Dixie, In shade you will find impatiens to be a good annual flower. I could not determine your hardiness zone but if your winters don't drop below the low 20's you can plant shrubs like Gold Dust Plant and Fatsia in a shady spot. If you like azaleas that would also be fine as would various types of ginger. If I misunderstood the site you were describing please submit another question to the home depot web site with more details and I'll be happy to assist further. Thanks for the question.
