I have a clematis plant for 4 years now. I don't know what kind, it has fushia color flowers. Should I deadhead spent flowers to promote new blooms?

It isn't necessary to deadhead your clematis; the spent flowers will fall off on their own. As the summer progresses, new stems will grow and new flowers will develop all on their own.

Enjoy!
