The Q&A Archives: jasman gardenia

Question: i`ve planted one in my front yard it gets full sun in the afternoon,it`s sprouting new flower bulbs ,how should i water it,once a day or once or twice a week.

Answer: Mark,

Water enough to keep the soil moist. Twice a week should do it if you provide a good soaking when you water. However give it a week or two as you check soil moisture by feeling the soil a few inches deep. Your watering frequency will need be adjusted more or less often as the soil's ability to hold moisture will vary between a sand and a clay soil for example.
