Should I deadhead my astilbe flowers as they turn brown? Also, should I transplant astilbe now because I have realized one of my plants is in too much sun, or should we wait until fall? thank you!

Deadheading can help extend the bloom period, so it is a good idea to do that. It also helps the plants look nicer.

This is the most stressful time of year to transplant, but if it is in too much sun that is very stressful, too. I would move it to a more favorable location and be sure to keep the soil evenly moist (damp like a wrung out sponge) for the next six weeks while it re-establishes. Using a generous layer of organic mulch would also help keep the soil cool and moist. Good luck with your astilbe!
