Can you grow a peach tree from a seed?

Valarie,

You can grow a peach tree from a seed but it will be an inferior tree. It won't be grafted onto a rootstock that is resistant to nematodes and it won't be a specially bred variety so the fruit characteristic may in some way be less superior.
