Can Lilacs grow in Puerto Rico?

Lilacs need cold winter weather each year in order to bloom, so they would not do well for you in Puerto Rico. I'm sorry I can't be more encouraging. There are however many wonderful plants that you can grow there, that would not thrive where lilacs grow well.
