I have just purchased one each, white and the regular orange, yellow and blue Bird of Paradise plants. I live in the Calif. hills and have wild deer. I know to give them

From all the information I can gather, bird of paradise is not a favorite of deer so your new plants should be safe. Deer resistant plants can sometimes be nibbled by hungry deer, but normally they overlook these plants in favor of something tastier.
