What is a good water soluable slow release fertilizer which is recommended for container plants.

And how do I get my pansy's from drying up?

Osmocoat is a good slow release fertilizer and you can use it for container plants either indoors or out. Pansies are cool weather plants and will suffer when temperatures get hot. They may come back this fall when temperatures cool down.
