Hi!
We have severe lawn problem! The problem is the water gatheres in some
places down on the slope and grass doesn't grow there, we just have
some deep ditches made by water and yellow dead grass. Even more -there
are
some areas where water is staying all the time, like a swamp ,even now
when it's too
hot.
We live in Michigan and have clay soil.
Please, help us!!

You actually have a severe drainage problem, not a lawn problem! If you can correct the drainage, you should be able to grow healthy grass there. Now that you know where it collects and puddles, why not install a curtain drain to collect and disburse the water? It can be as simple as digging a trench, lining it with pea gravel, setting a perforated pipe on the gravel, filling in around the pipe with more gravel, then putting 4-6" of soil over the top. This will be a place for the water to go and be absorbed plus you can grow grass on top. I think it will solve the problem.
