I planted two of these plants (I grew from seeds) in 5 gal pots on my patio. Both plants are small and compact, but are sending forth a plethora of male flowers. Do the female flowers follow, or are these plants trying to tell me something?
Please advise.

Let me stop laughing before I answer your question. Okay, I've regained my composure. It's perfectly normal and natural for your zucchini plants to produce male flowers at first; female flowers will follow as the vines grow longer. Zucchini are such prolific producers that you'll have all the squash you can eat in a few short weeks. In the meantime, enjoy the attractive flowers.

Best wishes with your garden!
