The ground ivy is crawling though of my 8 foot tall hedge, and into my garden. |
It's important to get rid of the ivy before it roots in your garden! The best approach is to sever the roots at the property line. A sharp garden spade will cut through the vines and roots. Pull up and remove all the stems and roots. A more permanent solution is to dig a trench at the property line and place a buried barrier there to prevent the roots from invading your garden. You might also talk with your neighbor; perhaps they will trim the ivy to keep it inbounds. Best wishes with your ivy eradication project! |
