| Yes, you've discovered some fungal growth. Most likely from some buried wood or other decomposing organic matter (bark perhaps, or old, dead roots). Rake it up before it develops spores (reproductive organs) and dispose of it. Have your friend pull the mushrooms out of the potting soil and throw them away. Although they are odd looking, they won't harm you or your plants. |
