The Q&A Archives: Sun patiens

Question: Can they stand a lot of water like regular impatients?I want to put them in a pond. Thankyou

Answer: Sunpatiens are not suitable for pond planting; their roots need oxygen as well as moisture and if planted in a boggy or wet area, they will simply rot. I'd use Marsh Marigolds for a splash of color in a pond.

Best wishes with your Sunpatiens!
