I bought some beautiful blue perennials from a nursery. The buds seem to be turning brown. Now the leaves are turning brown too. It may be affecting the Hydrangeas that I bought from Home Depot and maybe even the Delphinium too! |
If you've recently transplanted your blue flowering perennials, they are probably just suffering from some transplant shock and should recover soon. In the meantime, expect the buds to brown and some of the leaves to wilt and look unhappy. Just keep them watered once or twice a week and they will adjust to their new homes. This time of year, landscape plants can look a bit tired because of the weather. You can prune away any dead leaves or flowers to both make them look more attractive, and to encourage development of healthy new growth. Best wishes with your garden! |
