I moved a white crepe myrtle out of a flower bed because it seemed to be out of control. Now I have white crepe mytles coming up the length of the bed (about 25 ft.)in the middle of scrubs, in bulb plants and out in open areas. Is there anything I can do short of clearing out the entire bed and starting over?

Floy,

Your options are to either dig it out, or to cut it off and then apply a strong solution of a weed killer with either glyphosate or triclopyr as the active ingredient to the resprouts or you can cut them off and paint these products full strength on the cut surfaces. You can also mix according to label instructions and apply these products to the foliage but if they get on desirable plants those plants will be killed too.
