| Darice, Cracking is normal and characteristic of some varieties. You can't do much about that. It should not affect the edibility of the fruits. However if your tomatoes go through dry times followed by lots of water they will split and rot. This is prevented by maintaining even moisture in the soil. Thanks for the question.
