| Patricia, You need to keep the soil moist and continue to feed them monthly. Give them plenty of sunlight, the more the better. Watch for leaf diseases and be prepared to spray with a fungicide. The staff at your Home Depot garden center can help you find a product for controlling black spot and powdery mildew fungus on roses.
